Hereford Cow

I am starting a new series of paintings in oils on canvas of farm animals all painted in black and white. Just finished the first one, a friendly and gentle looking hereford cow. This "Beautiful Bessie" is now available in my Etsy shop. This limited edition 30 X 40 inch gallery wrapped canvas print comes ready to hang.  The image wraps around the sides of the 1.25 inch deep wooden frame, adding dimension and interest from any viewing angle.  The canvas has a protective coating with UV light protection to prevent fading and cracking.  Orders ship via Fed Ex ground in 3 to 5 business days, usually sooner.  Click here for the link.  Next up, some chickens, horses and pigs!

Christmas Owl Collection

My Christmas owls are now featured on a range of giftware and tabletop products from Transpac Imports.  The collection includes ceramics such as mugs, pitchers, votive candle holders, salt and pepper shakers, etc.  There are also some fused glass pieces, metal garden stakes and fabric plush pillows.  Seeing my 2 dimensional designs transformed to 3 dimensional product is always such a rewarding feeling!

Doggie Magnet Boards

Foreside Home has licensed several of my dog designs and turned them into magnet boards.  They are great wall decor as well.

Transportation themed kid's puzzle!

This arrived via the UPS guy the other day.  My transportation themed painting is now on puzzles!  Ravensberger makes beautiful puzzles, so I am happy to be working with them.  I have another design debuting with them as well and will post it next week.

Valentine Cards with Peaceable Kingdom at Target

My packets of Valentine Cards for Kids are currently for sale at your neighborhood Target store!  These packs of 30 cards are published by Peaceable Kingdom.  We sold packets with different designs last year and they were a big hit at Target.  Each packet sells for $2.99.

Peacock Pillow

I hired a fabric company to print my peacock artwork onto cotton fabric and my friend Nancy has made pillows from it!  The fabric is a cotton linen blend and looks really nice.  The pillows are for sale here in my Etsy shop, Pictorialboom.

Gallery Wrapped Canvases on Etsy

I have taken a few of my designs and had them reproduced as gallery wrapped canvas prints.  I'm happy with the way the designs travel around the sides of the wooden frames adding dimension and interest from any viewing angle.  They are currently for sale in my Etsy shop.  You can see them here, here, and here!

On The Farm Puzzle

This puzzle has been out on the market for a while now, but I thought I would share it.  It features some cute animal characters just hanging out on the farm.  Mudpuppy Press does such a terrific job of making quality products for kids.  You can buy it here.

Nocturnal Cat

Cats love to roam the night in their stealthy, but always adorable way.  I'm always amazed, being a dog owner, how quiet they are compared to my beagles.  They can sit and stare at something for ages without moving, as if they are in a trance.  Perhaps cats are deep thinking and philosophical animals.

Scratch and Sniff Stickers

Peaceable Kingdom has introduced a line of scratch and sniff stickers that I illustrated and kids are going to love them!  They are packaged at retail in a colorful red display box containing 36 separate packs that sell for around $2.50 per box.  Each little pack contains 6 feet of 80 stickers in scents ranging from strawberry, chocolate, grape, banana, bubblegum, as well as pizza.  I love the terrific products that Peaceable Kingdom continues to produce.  Hopefully you will find them soon at a retailer near you!

I'm back to the blog!

Boy, have I been lazy about this blog lately!  I am doing new work constantly, but as I'm sure you understand, it's difficult to keep up with everything.  Thanks for hanging in there with me while I took a little break.

I thought I would post one of my recent designs.  Painted phrases are always popular and right now they seem to be everywhere again.  We all have favorite phrases that we use in our daily lives or some that bring back fond memories.  Do you have a favorite phrase?

Lost Puppies Board Game

The new board game I illustrated for Peaceable Kingdom is now out in the marketplace! It is one of a new breed of board game for kids called a cooperative game. Instead of competing against one another, kids work together to reach a common goal. In the case of the "Lost Puppies" game, they have to get all of the lost puppies home before dark. It was a terrific project to be a part of. Peaceable Kingdom does such beautiful and well concepted products. You can find out more about the game here!
